Limited lifetime
replacement warranty.

Everest Mouldings & Specialties provides this limited warranty for mouldings sold under LightCoves.ca. It covers defects in the moulding itself, subject to the conditions below.

What is covered

For the lifetime of the moulding under normal residential or commercial interior use, this warranty covers manufacturing or material defects affecting the moulding’s structural integrity, EPS substrate or original plaster coating. This includes separation, coming apart, peeling or delamination caused by an inherent defect in the moulding or its factory-applied coating.

Product replacement

When a claim is approved under this voluntary warranty, the remedy is replacement of the defective moulding product. This warranty does not provide a refund or reimburse labour, removal, reinstallation, painting, finishing, electrician services or related construction costs. These limitations apply to this voluntary warranty only and do not restrict remedies required by law.

What this moulding warranty does not cover

• LED strips, drivers, transformers, power supplies, wiring, dimmers, sensors or other electrical components.
• Damage caused by misuse, improper installation, handling, storage, transport or modification, including improper cutting, trimming, sanding or painting.
• Damage caused by unsuitable adhesives, leaks, moisture, mould, fire or conditions beyond normal indoor use.
• Damage caused by building movement, severe settlement, framing shifts or wall and ceiling failures.
• Finishes applied after purchase, cosmetic variation or a preference about appearance.

An external-cause exclusion applies when that cause produces the damage claimed. The presence of building movement or settlement alone does not determine whether an unrelated manufacturing defect is covered.

Installation work

This is a moulding product warranty. It does not warrant work performed by an independent installer. Where Everest provides installation under a separate agreement, that agreement defines its workmanship terms, subject to applicable law.

Making a claim

Send written notice, proof of purchase and photographs of the alleged defect to info@everestmouldings.com. Access to inspect the product may be required. Contact us before removing the product so the assessment can be arranged.

Your legal rights remain

This voluntary warranty is additional to rights and remedies that applicable law provides. It does not exclude, limit or replace non-waivable legal warranties or consumer rights, including those applicable in Québec. Any limitation above applies only to the extent permitted by law.
